Private GP Appointment, Dr Medi is one of the most caring, understanding and knowledgeable doctors that I have seen, he takes the time to explain things fully and I left feeling I had a proper diagnosis, I cannot recommend enough and will be definitely going back.

I chose to visit Olivine Clinic, specifically Dr Mehrdad Bordbar, who runs a weekly acupuncture clinic there. After suffering from near-daily headaches for almost 20 years, my own GP recommended Dr Bordbar, as nothing else had provided lasting relief. From the outset, Dr Bordbar was professional, polite, and genuinely empathetic. He took the time to fully understand my condition and the extent of my long-term suffering. After a thorough discussion, he felt that acupuncture was absolutely worth exploring. I proceeded with an initial gentle session in the clinic’s calm and pleasant surroundings. That first treatment marked the beginning of almost immediate relief. Dr Bordbar asked me to keep a record of when headaches occurred and their intensity (these are not migraines). Remarkably, I went four consecutive days without experiencing any headaches at all. Following my second and third, slightly more involved sessions, I was able to go one to two weeks without any symptoms — a change that quite literally transformed my life. I am now 18 months into treatment and have been headache-free for approximately 95% of this time. As a result, my appointments have been reduced to every three to four months simply as a “top-up,” with the reassurance that I can return at any time should symptoms begin to recur. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr Bordbar’s acupuncture clinic. As a practicing GP as well as an acupuncturist, he has a deep understanding of complex medical issues, which was certainly evident in my case. My dad had the misfortune to become very ill a few days before Christmas and had to visit a private GP on short notice. Dr Bordbar at Olivine Clinic was able to accommodate him. He performed a full body examination and also reviewed his medical history. Based on his initial diagnosis my dad was referred to Same Day Emergency Care at Dorset County Hospital, where he was treated for his gallbladder. My dad found him to be very professional in his approach. He is a friendly person and kept my dad fully informed throughout. I would definitely recommend private GP Dr Bordbar.

I had four acupuncture appointments with Medi for problems relating to my hip which had been causing pain on/off for about 10 years. I found a huge improvement after my first appointment, with slight improvement after each subsequent appointment. (I had previously seen a couple of NHS physiotherapists over the years and been given some exercises which I had done for about 3 months, unfortunately I found these exercises only made the problem worse). I was very impressed with Medi’s treatment. Medi is a gentle, sympathetic, yet professional, person. He takes time to listen and is always happy to answer any questions. I didn’t feel under any pressure to book endless appointments, I was very happy to leave things after our fourth appointment, knowing that I can contact Medi again for follow up treatment should it be necessary. The practice is easily accessible, with no steps, parking is also easy, the premises are bright, modern and clean. I have already recommended Medi’s services to friends, a friend had recommended him to me.

I highly recommend Olivine Clinic for Acupuncture. Having had sessions for headaches and migraines, the sessions have been helpful in easing my symptoms, as well as being very relaxing. Dr Medi Bordbar is a calming presence who puts you at ease straight away and takes time to answer your health questions. The clinic has a lovely, calming feel to it too. Having wanted to try acupuncture for a while, I'm so glad I found this clinic!

I first met Dr Bordbar in his role as a GP so I knew I was in good hands when I went to him for acupuncture treatment to help with anxiety and menopause symptoms. I would highly recommend Olivine Clinic Acupuncture. This was my first experience of acupuncture & I am so pleased with the results. Dr Bordbar is very knowledgeable & will take time to answer any questions. His treatment room is very tranquil & relaxing. I have been experiencing gut problems for a long time & hadn’t managed to resolve it via a conventional route, it has taken several sessions of acupuncture, but I definitely feel I am well on the road to feeling normal again, it is such a relief!

I have been struggling with osteoarthritis for nearly nine months. Acupuncture has proved to be an excellent method in which to ease the pains where normal medication has relatively failed. A very professional service where Dr Bordbar identifies the issues and the treatment required. The aches and pains have greatly reduced. Walking is now a lot easier and continually improving.

The treatment provided is very much tailored to whatever condition you need support with and can be tweaked depending on the body's response. Dr Bordbar's approach is extremely professional yet friendly - you definitely feel seen there. I am not a fan of needles, but it was a nice experience, I have had 7 sessions in the end and will not hesitate to book again should I need it. The practice is gorgeous too.
